Description
A hand-thrown mug, fired in a traditional anagama kiln during several days of wood firing. The celadon-blue tone of the glaze has come alive through its encounter with the ash and flames – the surface bears traces of the fire’s movement and the rhythm of the firing.
The glaze is a variation of shino, soft in expression but with depth and variation. Where the ash has settled, the tone has deepened, and small shifts bring life to the surface of the clay body. The mug is lovely to hold, useful for everyday and for special occasions – an object that carries both craftsmanship and fire.
Dishwasher- and microwave-safe. Each piece is unique.
