Salt-Fired Mug – Organically Shaped with a Tactile Feel
This is a mug that carries the signature of fire. Hand-thrown in stoneware and salt-fired in a wood-fired kiln, where salt is thrown in during the firing and reacts with the clay body to form a natural glaze. The result is a living surface – partly glossy, partly matte, full of movement and variation.
The organic shape rests comfortably in the hand. The outside is tactile, with subtle shifts that make every grip an experience. Perfect for cappuccino – and it also happens to be the master potter’s personal favourite mug.
